IDC encourages safety on the road to prevent accidents.


You are NOT an active driver until your drug test returns as negative. To be active you must receive notice your urine drug test is negative. Usually results return next day and both you and your contractor will know immediately of your status.

You must now select a collection site and have an enrolment drug test with a negative result to be active. Select your site and have your test at the end of this message.

What drugs will you be tested for?
You will be tested for:

  • Marijuana
  • Cocaine
  • Amphetamines
    • Amphetamines
    • Methamphetamine
    • Ecstasy
  • Opioids
    • Hydrocodone
    • Hydromorphone
    • Oxycodone
    • Oxymorphone
  • Morphine
  • Heroine
  • Codeine
  • PCP Angel Dust

When will I be tested?

  • You will be tested annually and must have a Negative Test, to be allowed to drive.
  • Enrollment - You must be tested now, as soon as possible to be an active member of the IDC
  • Random Selection for Drugs or Alcohol. You will be notified either directly by your contractor, or by text or by phone of notice for random drug test for the above drugs. You must go for a random test the day you are notified. Failure to test is considered refusal. refusal is treated as if your test was positive and you will be removed from your safety sensitive position and see a SAP if you wish to return to duty.
  • After an Accident. You are expected to test after an accident.
  • For Cause. You must be tested if your contractor through observation or other feed back feels you may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Alcohol

  • You have a Prohibition from drinking alcohol - 4 hours bottle to throttle. You are not to drink alcohol 4 hours before starting work, during work or during your breaks.
  • Alcohol tests are by breath analysis.
Random Test

You will be notified by text and phone call for a random alcohol test selection


After an Accident
You must be tested for alcohol after an accident.


What is an accident?
An accident is an event where ...

  • There is a death
  • A person is injured and treated away from the scene
  • A vehicle is towed
  • Or if you receive a ticket citation as a result of the event.


For Cause
if your contractor suggests receives information that you may be under the effects of drugs or alcohol
